Resistance Pro Wrestling, the independent wrestling promotion run by Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan announced today that 2012 WWE Hall of Famer, “The Rated R Superstar” Edge will be appearing at their upcoming event on May 11th in Chicago, Illinois, which will be Edge’s first appearance at an independent wrestling event in a long while.

Edge is being billed as a special guest for the event, which is headlined by Harry Smith vs. Rhino for the RPW Heavyweight Championship. There are members of the Resistance Pro Wrestling street team at today’s Ring Of Honor/CHIKARA synergy event handing out flyers to fans informing them of the upcoming event.
