With the WWE currently on their European tour, officials representing the company will be meeting with officials from the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales on Friday to discuss the idea of a mega-show or pay-per-view event from the 75,000 seater arena in either 2013 or 2014.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that company officials have also held discussions about holding the event at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London, England as well as Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, England, however it appears as if the Millenium Stadium has thus far won the race.
Should the WWE be considering a worldwide pay-per-view event from the United Kingdom, it would be the first of its kind on a large scale since Summerslam 1992. The company did return years later for One Night Only, Rebellion & Insurrextion, however all events were not on the scale of Summerslam.
