The show opened with a video of the 2014 class, followed by several members already in the WWE Hall of Fame. Jerry Lawler came out and said that tonight is going to be a celebration and it’s an honor to share the stage with them and mentioned that it’s time to get down to business with the first inductee.

LITA
Trish Stratus came out to induct Lita and said that she was happy when Amy asked her to induct her and noted that one good turn deserves another, as Amy is the Godmother of her son. Trish noted that their careers paralleled and that her first match was against her and they debuted within weeks of each other, noting that they had that chemistry and you couldn’t ask for anything more and because of that, they got to share so many great moments including main eventing an episode of WWE RAW. Trish noted that Amy was cool and did things that you never saw from a woman, she was relatable and girls saw something in her. Trish then stated that Lita is probably best known for being part of Team Xtreme and stated that she wasn’t a side dish, but instead, was an equal part of the group and had quality. Trish then put over Lita’s accolades before introducing her.

Lita came out and said that she was just going to take it in for a minute. Lita then told a story about the time she called a travel agent wanting to go to Mexico and noted that she had no money and no plan, so she made sure to keep $20 in her bra, something she does to this day. Lita noted that she asked the travel agent about popular wrestling-based cities in Mexico, however the woman didn’t know and Lita ended up going to Mexico City and talked up her time working down in Mexico, before pulling out a mask belonging to Rayo de Jalisco Jr. Lita then commented about being a huge fan of Rey Mysterio and talked up a story about owing Arn Anderson a Miller Lite, which led to herself and Trish drinking wheatgrass on stage, while Arn and Rey drank the beer and saluted Lita. She then discussed her ECW stint and how her first pay-per-view was Heat Wave 1999 and how Danny Doring proposed to her, before noting that she has been with so many people in the business on-screen including Kane and Edge and how it was crazy with Kane, who she really loved working with.

Lita then talked about doing Dark Angel and landing awkwardly during a scene, knowing that something was wrong with her and that when she went to the doctors, she found out that she had a broken neck and put on a hard collar because it was the release date of her bobble head, which she found ironic and noted that she went to the hospital instead of WWE RAW and was told that she needed emergency surgery due to her neck being broken in three places, however she turned to one man to talk to and that was Steve Austin and said that she didn’t want the doctors advice, but instead wanted the advice of Steve Austin who recommended that she would go to Dr. Youngblood, which ended up with her having more years in the business. Lita then thanked everyone she has worked with over the years, the WWE crew and Trish Stratus and noted that their friendship will last forever and it means the most to her. She then thanked her family and said that she loved them, before thanking Monster Jock and Anthony, as well as the punk rock and hardcore scene for making her who she is today.

JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS
Diamond Dallas Page came out and noted that there is some kind of divine intervention, however tonight is his 58th birthday and he can’t think of anything better than having two of his boys rising up and receiving the recognition in the business that both of them deserve. DDP put over Dusty for all that he did for him and said that Jake was another mentor and that Dusty believed in him when he got fired for being hurt, while Jake called in to check on him. DDP then told a story about Jake staying with the family, however his ex-wife Kim stated that Jake was not allowed to have snakes in the house, however Jake ended up bringing a 12 foot cobra into the house and ended up losing it in the house. DDP then discussed Jake’s feuds over the years and his demons and how he took Jake into the Accountability Crib and said that dreams can come true as long as you put the work in and to never underestimate the power that you give someone by believing in them.

Jake came out and noted that he forgot what he was going to say due to the fan reaction and said that he saw many greats on his way up and they had a love and passion for what they were doing, however he hated wrestling because his father wrestled and he never saw him at home and thought that it was wrestling’s fault, however it wasn’t the truth and it wasn’t wrestling’s fault, it was the man, who was hellbent on being a wrestler. Jake noted how he walked away from the responsibilities of family life and didn’t have a minute to spare for them because he loved professional wrestling and said that he should have spent his time more wisely, however, when it came down to it, he loved wrestling and there is nothing like it. Jake then joked about his age and said that he wouldn’t lie like Dallas and noted that it hurts that he can’t work anymore, but noted that he can still do a few things, hit a DDT, which drew a “You still got it” chant. Jake noted that he doesn’t and that his heart and mind still want it, however it reaches a point where you can’t do it justice and noted that professional wrestling was the only thing he couldn’t cheat on during his career, but he did and talked about how he wanted to medicate his pain with drugs and alcohol and that the pain wasn’t from the ring, but from what he was doing to his family, lying to his children and not having the want to carry on, noting that his career was gone and all he had was pain and shame and nothing left. Jake noted that when you’re alone you make bad choices and brought up people who have passed before him and how he didn’t want to kill himself, however DDP stuck out his hand and saved his life and he knows it and is grateful to Dallas for that. Jake commented on his surgery and the Indiegogo campaign and how the money that was raised woke him up inside and told him that people do care about him and said that he is ashamed he wasted most of his talent due to the demons, but he is happy to be at the Hall of Fame tonight and then brought up an 18 month old family member, stating that Vince McMahon needs to get his writers ready as the baby will be a future WWE talent.

MR. T
Mean Gene Okerlund came out and talked about Mr. T being his friend and his appearances at WrestleMania 1 and then brought out Mr. T’s son who quickly talked up and then introduced Mr. T who appeared to be overwhelmed by the reaction from the fans. He noted that he’s grateful, honored and humbled to be here and thanked God for making it possible, before doing a prayer and then talked about his mother and how great mothers are and how he believes that God expresses himself through mothers. Kane’s music played towards the end of Mr. T’s speech and told him that he was overrunning his speech.

PAUL BEARER
Kane came out and said that after Mr. T talking about his mother, it’s now time for him to talk about his Daddy, Paul Bearer. Kane noted that Bearer was born William Moody and put over his accomplishments and how Bearer tried to make it as a wrestler, but that didn’t turn out too well, so he turned his hand to managing. Kane then said that things become ironic from time to time, but the most ironic thing was that Paul Bearer was a real-life mortician when he took up the role with the WWE. Kane talked about Bearer’s passing and said that he was what everyone who entered the professional wrestling business aspired to be, an international superstar and said that it’s fitting that he gets to be on the biggest stage once again.

Kane then introduced Bearer’s sons, Michael and Daniel Moody who thanked the fans for appreciating their father and said that they couldn’t leave before doing an “Ohh Yes” like their father. As they went to leave, the lights went out and the Undertaker’s music hit. A graphic appeared on the big screen as The Undertaker came out with the urn and raised it to the graphic in what I can just say was an awesome and emotional moment.

RAZOR RAMON
Kevin Nash came out and said that the bible says that grey hair is a sign of wisdom and noted that the guy in charge told him to speed it up. Nash commented on how he left the “prestigious” Vinnie Vegas gimmick to come to the WWE to become Diesel and said that during that time, he as the bodyguard of Shawn Michaels had the opportunity to have a ringside seat and watch two greats make magic and got to watch the process between Razor and HBK play out in the car on the road and noted that Razor was a mentor and that back in the day, no one liked them, so they all stayed together and said that he has a biological brother, however the wrestling business gave him four more and said that it’s great that he gets to induct another of his brothers tonight.

Razor came out and said that he fell in love with wrestling at a young age and had his first match in his 20’s and noted that no matter how his life was going, when he went through the curtain, he had power and control and dug that feeling and learned that he could have a relationship as a performer with the wrestling audience and has always treasured that feeling. Razor thanked the fans in the building and those around the world and thanked people who helped him along the way, noting that hard work pays off and dreams come true. Razor said that bad times don’t last, but bad guys do. Razor’s music played, however Kevin Nash, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Sean Waltman came on stage and they all posed together.

Jerry Lawler came out to introduce the next inductee, however Bad News Barrett interrupted and said that for all the wrestlers not in the Hall of Fame in here tonight, this is as close as they will get to the Hall and called them all wannabees.

CARLOS COLON
Carlito, Primo & Epico came out and Carlito noted that these days he’s used to working in bingo halls, so the reaction he got sounds nice and said that their time was cut a bit and it’s like he never left the WWE. Carlito said that tonight isn’t about himself but is about his father. Primo took over and talked about how Carlos grew up in New York and started training aged 14 and promised that he would graduate high school and when he did, the next day he was in the ring wrestling. Primo talked up all the places that Carlos Colon worked and noted that he came back home to Puerto Rico and founded Capital Sports Promotions, bringing in all the big names. Epico then took over and noted that he remembers that Carlos is his uncle and how he sold out places everywhere. Primo said that if it wasn’t or Carlos Colon, who knows where Paul Heyman would have got his ideas for ECW, as down in Puerto Rico before the ECW days, there were barbed wire matches and other extreme style matches.

Carlos Colon came out and talked about his family and the greats that he has worked with and noted that he is honored to join the WWE Hall of Fame alongside his countryman Pedro Morales and spoke in Spanish, stating that he loves his mother.

THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR
Linda McMahon came out and said that Warrior called her to induct him and said that this is her favourite night of the year and thinks that Warrior will inspire the people tonight. Linda talked about how Warrior legally changed his name because he believes in living his life that way and loved the way he made his ring entrance and said that Warrior had to run around the ring 2-3 times as he couldn’t stop himself and needed to let the fuel run out. Linda talked about Warrior was considered a loner and wasn’t always easy to work with and said that when he came back for his last run, he asked that Linda would be his personal contact, as she understood his way of looking at things and there were times when he would boil over on the phone to her and said that when Warrior is agitated, he would yell and there were times that she would put the phone on speaker and let him vent as she done things around her house. Linda talked up Warrior more before introducing him.

Warrior came out and done a “Warrior grunt” and said that this is the most anticipated speech in sports entertainment and talked about he talked up his family, noting that his wife came into his life in 1996 when he got back into wrestling and then things fell apart, but not with them. Warrior said that he is glad his mother is here tonight and talked about how his father walked out on the family, however his mother done everything to ensure that there was food on the table and she worked hard and that’s where he got his work ethic and self-discipline from. Warrior said that he told his father that Mr. McMahon and the WWE do awesome, incredible stuff, however the most awesome thing he’s ever done in life is being their father. Warrior said that he was sitting in the back waiting to come out and was shocked when he realized that this was going to happen and said that a kid in the back told him that it was awesome that he’s going into the Hall of Fame and then talked up DDP Yoga and thanked Triple H for making his Hall of Fame induction. Warrior said that if you want to do something great in your life, then practice his brand of self-destruction and said that after 18 years of exile, you can still come back and be the headliner. The fans chanted one more match, however Warrior said that it’s not going to happen, but other things are down the line and said that he wanted to thank some people. Warrior said that even people who told him what he didn’t want to hear taught him something and talked about learning the business with Sting and going to work in Memphis and meeting all the great people there, then on to Watts and the UWF and all he learned there and told Ted DiBiase that he fashioned his clothesline after him. Warrior said that Ted wanted himself and Sting to go home and that those clotheslines to his throat sent that message to them.

Warrior then talked about learning in WCCW and doing the Dingo Warrior, which he said was a poor version of The Ultimate Warrior and said that then he got to the WWF. Warrior talked about working with Jose Estrada and Estrada making him press him 16 times to see if he was blown up, however Warrior noted that he was blown up even before he hit the ring. Warrior then put over Steve Lombardi (Brooklyn Brawler) for taking his “green punishment” and said that the boys have a pretty good BS factor as the old DVD said that he wasn’t welcome in the WWF at the time and that he was an a**h*** and said that when he saw the DVD it made him mad, but also broke his heart and noted that anyone who couldn’t deal with The Bulldogs crapping in your highly secure bags didn’t last long and talked about how a legend said that he was a good guy, which he is. Warrior said that he wants to thank all the people in the business who work behind the scenes, as they are the superstars who make it happen and said that the ring crew were great and he will never forget them and they are the people who make the companies click and there should be a wing in the WWE Hall of Fame for people who work behind the scenes. Warrior said that he wouldn’t be here tonight if it wasn’t for the fans and that they waited all those years fighting for him to be inducted and he is here tonight because of them. Warrior said that he has always been respectful and that himself and Sting got to where they did because they already showed respect and appreciated the veterans who allowed them to join the business and it’s good to know what he put in all those years has finally paid off. Warrior noted that when people told him to stop shaking the ring ropes, the one person who told him not to stop was Vince and Vince allowed him to be himself and said that the boys used to tell Vince how they felt and they all walked out of meeting with Vince being told the same thing. Warrior noted that he kept a journal and notes and said that he told Vince that he had ideas for how he could make money, which Vince fought back laughter about, however Vince respected his ideas also and he got a meeting with Vince whenever it was needed after that.

Warrior said that in the professional wrestling business there are a few legitimate tough guys, while the rest get to play the role and said that it was great to be able to do that and then play the hero and the first time it hit him was when he done Make-A-Wish and put over John Cena’s work with that company. Warrior then commented on celebrities wearing wrestling gear and how wrestlers don’t put on other sports gear, however athletes and celebrities put on wrestling gear and that shows how powerful the business is and how great it is to be a role model in the WWE. Warrior said that if you get to play a tough guy in the WWE, you should be able to handle life and said that some people state that he doesn’t respect the business, which isn’t true as he thinks about it every day and the business gave him everything he needed to make his life work and he appreciates it. Warrior noted that guys would mock him and still do about getting blown up and joked that he’s blown up now and said that being able to experience pushing his body to the limits he did is what he misses the most. Warrior said that people wondered what he would do and say tonight and a lot of the people told him that he doesn’t know where to draw the line between his work and real life, but noted that people work their gimmicks these days on social media and said that his gimmick is still popular to this date and if the gimmick inspires the people, what is wrong with that. Warrior said that all he can say is that when he was in the business, no one ever said stuff to his face and he was respectful, however the old DVD was wrong, made him angry and was hurtful. Warrior said that he was honored to be among the other inductees and is proud to be here this evening and is proud to be an ambassador for the company in a multi-year deal.

Warrior said that there are a lot of great characters in the business and The Ultimate Warrior was one, which he is proud of and then joked about stories with Vince McMahon. Warrior said no again to a one more match chant and said that it isn’t easy to walk away when you’re an athlete, but the business needs the older guys to step up and help the next generation of stars and said that the young guys’ careers will come and go, but they need to make sure to go out in life and do what needs to be done and thanked everyone for coming tonight.
