GFL.tv and Ring Of Honor held a press conference last night on ATG Radio for ROH’s 10th Anniversary show, which featured Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole and Cary Silkin as the main guests. The hosts opened up the show and put over Ring of Honor and plugged the iPPV on Sunday evening.

Cary Silkin opened it up and put over that it was the company’s 10th Anniversary event and said that it’s the start of more to come for this promotion and put over the main event of Davey Richards and Kyle O’Reilly taking on the team of Eddie Edwards and Adam Cole before continuing on running down the card and said that New York City is a special place to hold events for the company.

Adam Cole and Eddie Edwards then joined the show and were asked what it was like to be in the main event of ROH’s 10th Anniversary event after being in the lower and mid-card status in the company so far during his career with Ring of Honor. Adam said that he is excited and delighted to have the opportunity to team with Eddie Edwards because of Eddie’s experience in the ring and his knowledge and feels like they gelled instantly and feels like they have an advantage going into the iPPV this Sunday. Eddie was then asked about returning to tag team action following a long run as a singles star and said that he had no problem shifting back to that style and said that while he faces off against Davey Richards this Sunday, you can point to his roots in tag team wrestling with The American Wolves.

Kyle O’Reilly and Davey Richards then joined the show and Kyle was immediately asked if he was looking to make a statement on Eddie Edwards this Sunday and noted that he’s just looking to make a statement period on Sunday evening. Davey was then asked about Adam Cole and whether he believes that Cole is ready for the main event, to which he responded that Cole is the wildcard in the match this Sunday and stated that Kyle O’Reilly has more main event experience. Davey said Adam Cole is a good talent, but he’s the one that has the most to prove on Sunday.

Eddie was then asked how he and Davey remained friends for years considering the beatings that they have put on each other in various matches over the past year or so, to which Eddie noted that they had always respected each other and that’s why they were successful as a tag team, because if they were wrestling with each other or against each other, they always brought it all to the match. Davey was asked the same question and said that he did the things he did to Eddie Edwards because he understood how tough a competitor Eddie was, so he had to go to a dark place to put him down, which he did and said that they would have another war this Sunday, which he knows that both men want. Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly were then both asked if they feel the same way that Eddie and Davey do about each other, to which both men put over each other before noting that they would come out swinging hard this Sunday.

Davey was then asked who he will kick in the face first this Sunday, to which he responded that he didn’t make a list, but Adam Cole should be training on how to duck. Eddie Edwards was then asked what type of of tag team he and Adam Cole would be, to which Eddie said that everyone knows what Kyle O’Reilly and Davey Richards offered as a tag team, but no one knew what he and Adam Cole were capable of and they will be surprised on Sunday.

A caller phoned in and asked if this event on Sunday was an opportunity for Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to step out and take their place in Ring of Honor, to which Adam Cole said that this was definitely an opportunity for both men to prove they are the future of the company. The caller then asked if Davey and Eddie were going to give their partners their blessing or go down swinging, to which Eddie said that he’ll be going down with a fight and that Kyle would have to take the torch if he wanted it. Davey then stated that he’s not there to groom people or lead, he’s there to hurt people.

Davey was then asked what he had to prove in the match on Sunday to which he responded that he was the best in the world no matter what the match was and said that this isn’t an easy match and that Cole and O’Reilly are not in the main event because of a favor, they had both earned it. Eddie Edwards also said that both men had been around the block and that they had earned their spots in the company.

Another caller asked if all 4 men felt any pressure with this being the company’s 10th Anniversary event, to which Eddie responded that there’s a lot of pressure, but they always wanted to put on the best show. Cole said the exact same thing while Richards said that he and O’Reilly were not there to put on a show for anybody as he stated earlier, that they’re  there to hurt people and pick up the victory.

Cary Silkin was then asked about the show and put over the work ethic of everyone involved and said that the card from top to bottom will make the fans happy and the four men on-air with him are going to show that it’s a great match and he can’t wait for Sunday. All four men gave their final thoughts with Cole putting over Ring of Honor’s 10th Anniversary. Eddie said that they were going to have a great match on Sunday, however O’Reilly took the Davey Richards route and said that Team Ambition was real and that Adam Cole and Eddie Edwards were going to have to kill them to beat them on Sunday. Davey closed the show by saying that he was going to drop some truth and that Eddie Edwards and Adam Cole need to duck because there will be no mercy in New York City.
