– Randy Orton is featured in a video on the company’s official website where he discusses his return to the company. “The Apex Predator” noted that he is very rested after his 60 days off and said that he now feels the best he has ever done in his entire career.

– Vince McMahon was said to have been livid backstage last night. With the fire prior to the show and the comments by Abraham Washington during the show, Vince’s mood was said to have not been a good one all night. Speaking of Vince, he will be appearing at tonight’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Indianapolis, Indiana to announce a new WWE SmackDown General Manager.

– Following the comments made last night, Abraham Washington took to his Twitter account to issue an apology. The manager of The Prime Time Players had the following to say, “I would like to apologize to all the #WWEUniverse for my inappropriate and insensitive remark. I went too far with that joke. #NotFunny!! There was no malicious intent behind the joke. It was either a Kobe or Lebron joke. Lebron jus won the Finals so there you have it..Myself!” Speaking of The Prime Time Players, many within the company expect them to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions shortly, however whether A.W’s comments change those expectations remains to be seen.

– For those that have asked, the resignation of John Laurinaitis as the Senior VP of Talent Relations is legitimate and not part of a storyline in the company. Laurinaitis had been removed a few months back from the Executive Officers listing on WWE’s corporate website and was replaced by Paul Levesque (Triple H). The company have noted that Laurinaitis is “burned out” and will take on the role of a producer, however in reality, a lot of his roles behind the scenes are being scaled back largely, with staff signings made by Triple H filling those positions. Laurinaitis had been the Senior VP of Talent Relations since 2004 when he replaced Jim Ross.

– While WWE remain quiet on the matter, it is believed that the fire at last night’s WWE RAW was started by one of the pyros being discharged accidentally, or that the pyro was set too close to the side panels during rehearsals. The fire was picked up by a lot of local media in the area last night.

– There is a belief amongst many that Charlie Sheen will be in the corner of Kane for a match between “The Big Red Monster” and Daniel Bryan at the WWE Summerslam pay-per-view on August 19th. Speaking of WWE Summerslam, the match between Brock Lesnar and Triple H is said to be a once-off match, however those plans can change between now and then.

– In a dark match prior to last night’s RAW, Cody Rhodes defeated Zack Ryder. The match moved very fast and many people ended up missing the match entirely as they were still getting to their seats before the show started. The video at the start of RAW was done to allow that also.

– The identities of 3 of the 4 “Mental Institution” men on last night’s WWE RAW have been confirmed as Dylan Bostic, Matt Mason and Joey Vengeance. Mason and Vengeance work for companies in and around the Ohio area, while Bostic, who’s billed out of Indiana has made appearances for Ohio Valley Wrestling.
