With the news today of the Pope stepping down from his position within the Catholic church, WWE superstar CM Punk finds himself in some controversy once again. Earlier today, when responding to a fan on Twitter, Punk referred to the Pope as a “nazi.”
The following was posted on CM Punk’s offficial Twitter account:
“@keithhalladay: @cmpunk @jonodiener Ouch. That’s an envelope-pushing tweet for a company employee…”Oh p*** off. Pope was a nazi.

This resulted in another fan angrily sending the WWE a message, and indicating how offended he was with Punk’s comment. No response was made by the WWE, but CM Punk did tell the fan to unfollow him. The tweet can be seen below:
“@cblguychris: @wwe as along time fan and avid catholic I am offended by @cmpunk calling the head of my church a Nazi.”The unfollow button.

Now, within the last few minutes, TNA superstar Kurt Angle fired back at CM Punk regarding his comments. Speaking through his official Twitter account, Kurt Angle posted, “Cm Punk Should thank GOD that the Pope is a forgiving Man. Because Even the Pope Could Whip Punk’s skinny a**.”
