Here’s the updated lineup in the form of a mini-preview:
EVOLVE 11: Finlay vs. Callihan
April 13th, 2012
Doubletree by Hilton – Toronto Airport
655 Dixon Road
Toronto, Ontario
Canada M9W1J3
This is part of the first ever WrestleReunion convention in Canada featuring Roddy Piper, Bruno Sammartino, a Strike Force reunion and more legends!!!
The Rematch – Main Event #1
Dave “Fit” Finlay (1-0) vs. Sami Callihan (3-3)
Their match at EVOLVE 9 in July, 2011 was voted as the DGUSA/EVOLVE match of the year by the fans. Now Toronto will get the epic rematch and possibly final match between these two warriors. Callihan is on a rampage after what happened in Florida.
Battle Of The Best – Main Event #2
Low Ki (1-0) vs. El Generico (0-0)
El Generico joined the DGUSA/EVOLVE family last Saturday with a surprising debut and huge victory. Low Ki is proving his dominance over DGUSA and EVOLVE. This one pits two of the best in the world in a fresh match. No hype needed here.
JUST SIGNED: EVOLVE Co-Wins Leader vs. Style Battle Champion
Johnny Gargano (6-3) vs. AR Fox (2-1)
DGUSA Champion Johnny Gargano is tied on top of the Leader Board with now rival Chuck Taylor. AR Fox has momentum after victories last weekend. He has already solidified himself as a force in EVOLVE by winning the Style Battle tournament last year. This is a rematch of a classic at last year’s Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup Tournament. This could steal the entire show.
JUST SIGNED: EVOLVE Co-Wins Leader vs. New Sensation
Chuck Taylor (6-3) vs. Samuray Del Sol
The emphasis is back on the Leader Board with EVOLVE 11. We will see if either Taylor or Gargano can take control on top of the board. Del Sol dazzled fans in his DGUSA debut last weekend and even scored a major victory over Masato Yoshino. However, Taylor attacked Del Sol last Saturday so now they will face off one-on-one in Toronto.
JUST SIGNED: Tag Team Attraction
The Scene (2-0) vs. Super Smash Brothers (1-2)
The Scene of Caleb Konley & Scott Reed with Larry Dallas are starting to make waves in both DGUSA and EVOLVE. They have an undefeated record to back that up. The popular Super Smash Brothers are looking to build momentum of their own in their home territory. This is another potential show stealer.
Several new talents have just been signed for April 13th in Toronto. We will have more matches announced by Monday.
