In a post on his official Twitter account, Mustafa Ali revealed that he is no longer working with the WWE.

The post reads, “I am no longer working with WWE. I look forward to the future. Thank you, Adeel.”

Ali signed with WWE in 2016 after competing in the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic Tournament and returned to the WWE NXT brand in May of this year, as part of the WWE NXT North American Championship picture.

Ali had indicated during Tuesday’s WWE NXT episode that he may make an appearance during Monday’s WWE RAW, where Dominik Mysterio defends the WWE NXT North American Championship against Dragon Lee, with Ali originally scheduled to challenge Mysterio for the title as part of NXT No Mercy on September 30th.
