Former ROH World Champion and current New Japan Pro Wrestling superstar Michael Elgin was a recent guest on The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast and provided an update on his eye injury that he suffered back in mid-October.

Elgin noted during the interview that he had to undergo surgery to get the orbital bone fixed and stated that his eye is great and explained that the doctors took a bone from his hip and put it under his orbital bone because if you use the same bones there, then it can break easier. Elgin also noted that he may have got a staph infection due to the surgery, however he went to the hospital and got it checked out and noted that while doctors did not find any bacteria in his hip, they still prescribed him medicine and said that he hopes to be able to return to the gym soon.

Elgin said that his goal is to return at the Wrestle Kingdom 11 event on January 4th as he does not want to miss the Tokyo Dome show.
