Newly-crowned AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone took part in the post-AEW Double or Nothing media scrum and discussed several topics, including her match against Willow Nightingale, making her in-ring return, and much more.

Mone stated that wrestling and AEW itself saved her life and put over Willow Nightingale, stating that Willow was one of the best she’s ever been in the ring with and that their match showed where the best wrestle.

Mone responded to why she waited until May to make her in-ring return despite reports that she had been cleared since December and noted that she had been talking to Tony Khan for a long time, and that he was the one that brought up the idea for her to debut in Boston back in March and then make her in-ring debut at AEW Double Or Nothing on what is the five year anniversary of the company.

Mone was asked about the possibility of her returning to Japan to work matches over there and stated that she would like NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi to collaborate with Tony Khan to find an opponent for her.
