Kayla Braxton announced during today’s episode of WWE’s The Bump that the episode would be her final one as the host, with Megan Morant to take over as the new host, while Braxton will still contribute to the show as a correspondent.
“Being a WWE announcer for nearly 7 years, there’s been a lot of growth and a lot of change, all for the good, so I’m really excited to tell you this will be my final day as the host of WWE’s The Bump. I’m not leaving the show, I’m still going to be doing some cool content that will be rolling into the shoe every single week, but in the meantime, I’m very pleased to tell you that Megan Morant will be filling my spot.
We know she will do that in a phenomenal way, she’s already been on the show multiple times, she’s already been showing her presence and her big personality and her skill set here, so we’re really excited that you’re going to be the one to handle Matt Camp and Ryan Pappolla every single week. I’m going to be wishing you the best, but seriously, 240 episodes, I was really honored to get to come on here on the ground floor and be a part of growing this thing into what it is today.
I know it’s only going to grow further, but all of your support ever single week has meant the absolute world. I’m not going away, I just won’t be sitting in this chair anymore. Megan, you are so deserving, I know you’re going to do an incredible job. Congratulations.”
Speaking on taking over the role from Kayla Braxton, Morant had the following to say.
“Kayla, I am first of all so honored to be sitting in this char, this show is so incredibly special, and you’re a big part of that, you are the reason this show has made it to 240 episodes, you are the reason I even got on the show in the first place. I was in Stamford for a community event, and you said, you better stay for The Bump, there’s not a lot of people, especially when it comes to women, who support each other and you do that, you lift everybody up, you make every room you walk into a little bit brighter. They always say, leave things better than you found them and you’ve made us all better here on The Bump, every single person.”
