It’s A 6 Man Elimination War In Cincy!
The fight against S.C.U.M continues in 2013 as World Champion Kevin Steen defends his title in an Underdog challenge against Tadarius Thomas on January 18th in Dearborn while Jimmy Jacobs takes on TV Champion Adam Cole in a Proving Ground match & Steve Corino fights Jay Lethal. The following night the World Champion squares off with Michael Elgin, Eddie Edwards, and Roderick Strong in a Defy or Deny challenge in Milwaukee on 1/19 while his compatriots team with Rhino to take on Lethal & The Briscoes.
A majority of the ROH locker room has unified in the mission to take down Steen, Jacobs, and Corino and now on February 16th, when we return to Cincinnati, a trio of ROH All-Stars will unite to take down S.C.U.M in an Elimination Rules fight! ROH World Champion Kevin Steen, Steve Corino, & Jimmy Jacobs will have to contend with the combined efforts of World TV Champion Adam Cole, Davey Richards, & “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin!
“I have hand-picked these individuals, in part, because of their history with Kevin Steen and SCUM.” said ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness, “Davey Richards feels responsible for all of this and since he can’t get a title match, he wants to find his redemption somehow. In my opinion, Michael Elgin came the closest of anyone to ending Steen’s reign and he would do anything to get back in the title picture. As for Adam Cole, he is the TV Champion mate, and his slate is generally clean as far as SCUM goes, but his love for ROH runs deep and I know his desire to reclaim it is strong. Honor will live in 2013, and I will do everything in my power to see that S.C.U.M has a hard go of it at every turn.”
Given the abilities of all six men involved this could easily be an early match of the year candidate, this Nigel has also declared that this bout will be contested with NO TIME LIMIT! This 6-Man Elimination War is apparently just the beginning of many first time ever matches Nigel has planned for our Ohio return
