Dawn Marie’s Wrestler’s Rescue, a charitable organization founded by the former WWE and ECW star in 2008, have taken to social media in response to former WWE superstar James “Kamala” Harris who released a video stating that despite Wrestler’s Rescue and Dan Mirade’s Millenium Wrestling Federation allegedly raising money on his behalf for medical bills, he has yet to receive the money, by noting that Harris received a check in the amount of $500, however refused not to accept it.
Michele Mupo, who is the agent of Dawn Marie noted on her Twitter account that Kamala returned the check issued by Wrestler’s Rescue, because it wasn’t sent fast enough and that Dawn Marie did what she said she would. Mupo then went on to note that the check for $500 was sent on July 20th and Kamala refused it, sending it back through certified mail and said that Kamala lied to get money and people should never judge unless they have proof before later tweeting a photo of a copy of the check sent to Harris on July 20th stating that Kamala is a liar. Mupo then tweeted a photo of the certified letter that Dawn Marie received yesterday noting that Dawn got the letter today as Kamala refused a $500 which is proof that Dawn sent the check which Kamala received. Dawn Marie then took to her own Twitter stating that she received her check from Kamala today through certified mail, which means that Kamala did receive any money from her but opted not to accept it and that there’s more news to come, to which Mupo stated that Dawn Marie submitted a stop payment request with her bank on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Brian Heffron, better known to wrestling fans as The Blue Meanie during his time in WWE and ECW has questioned Dawn Marie’s proof via his own Twitter account, noting that 2 years ago Dawn Marie launched a similar campaign fund that was to assist Jerry Lynn with medical bills for back surgery, money which he never received. Heffron noted that to him the handwriting on Kamala’s check looks like his handwriting on the return envelope and if he sent it back, why did Dawn Marie decide to put a stop payment on it, as they cost $35 and it would’ve been cheaper to rip up the check. Heffron then went on to state that his former Blue World Order member, Nova, who runs a bank these days told him that he’s never seen a voided check like the one Dawn Marie has shown photos of after a stop payment request is issued and that the check is dead and can’t be reversed and that none of it makes sense. Heffron then went on to state that Nova joked about that stating that “the guy with no legs (Kamala) turns away money because it didn’t get there quick enough” and that he’d have “an easier time believing that himself and The Blue Meanie were going to get their ECW pay-per-view checks soon.”
