AEW International Champion and NEVER Openweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita revealed in post-match comments at NJPW Wrestle Dynasty that he is now affiliated with New Japan Pro Wrestling, in addition to him being affiliated with All Elite Wrestling and DDT Pro Wrestling.

Takeshita defeated Shingo Takagi at the Wrestle Kingdom 19 event on Saturday to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion, and successfully defended the title along with his AEW International Championship against Tomohiro Ishii at Wrestle Dynasty on Sunday.
