In an interview with Diva-Dirt.com, Kia Stevens, best known as Kharma on WWE television and Awesome Kong on TNA Wrestling television, discussed being offered a job with the WWE, her release from the company and whether she’d be interested in a return to TNA.

On being offered a job by the WWE, she noted that she didn’t see it coming and was approximately about 2 weeks away from announcing her retirement from wrestling when she got a call. Kharma noted that she was sick with a cold when Tommy Dreamer rang and asked if he could give her number to John Laurinaitis, who rang her and spoke with her, offering her a position with the company, something she joked that she couldn’t close her mouth about for a good 20 days.

In regards to her WWE release, Kharma noted that sometimes things aren’t moving along as quickly as they need to be and some things weren’t progressing as quickly as they should have been. Kharma noted that the release was a good idea and very appropriate noting that WWE just don’t hire anyone and if they hire you, they’re going to invest in you, apply any and every resource they have for what you’re going through, which is why the timing just was there and why the release was in her opinion appropriate.

When asked if she would return to TNA Wrestling, Kharma noted that she appreciates the opportunities that was given to her by TNA Wrestling, Dixie Carter and Terry Taylor and is very appreciative of her time there, however things were good until it wasn’t with the company, however she’s grateful that TNA Wrestling introduced her to the U.S. market, but the time to return is gone.
