TNA X-Division star Jesse Sorenson was taken to a local hospital last night during TNA Wrestling’s Against All Odds pay-per-view, as he was legitimately knocked out and the company didn’t want to take any chances on having him stay around for the duration of the pay-per-view. TNA Wrestling president Dixie Carter noted that Sorenson had suffered a neck injury on her Twitter account, however no update has since been made available regarding Sorenson’s status.
There was a lot of concern within the company last night that Sorenson’s injury could be quite serious, as fans at ringside watched the X-Division star being stretchered away after his body went numb below his neck when Zema Ion leaped from the top rope onto him at ringside, connecting Sorenson on the side of his head with his knee. Sorenson flopped backwards to the floor and landed without bracing himself, which is when the referee held up the “X” sign to end the match.
Note from Wayne: There were some scary spots at last night’s pay-per-view including during the match of the night between Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley when Shelley landed hard on the apron and looked out of it, as well as the Kazarian vs. AJ Styles match, when Kazarian seemed to attempt an over the top rope swinging neckbreaker which saw Styles also land awkwardly on the ring apron. With that said, on behalf of us all here on the website, we hope that Jesse’s injury is not as bad as first feared and that some good news comes out through TNA Wrestling shortly regarding his status.
