WWE RAW superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested over the weekend for driving while impaired in Concord, North Carolina, according to listings on the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office.
The listing notes that 40-year-old Hardy, was arrested on Saturday, March 10th at 10:20pm at 4545 Concord Pkwy South and was released a little over an hour later at 11:24pm.
Hardy is scheduled to appear in Cabarrus County Court on April 16th in regards to his arrest and has been hit with a 30 day pretrial revocation of his driver’s licence, meaning that he currently is not allowed to legally drive for the next 30 days, a normal procedure in the State following an arrest of said nature.
Meanwhile, according to a report from CBSSports.com, Hardy’s arrest for driving while impaired states that he was driving northbound on Concord Parkway when he allegedly ran off the roadway, striking about 105 feet of guardrail before the back end of his car spun out 90 degrees, coming to a rest in the middle of the right, northbound lane of travel. The report notes that it was estimated by the police that Hardy caused approximately $8,000 damage to his 2016 Cadillac and approximately $5,000 damage to the guardrail itself.
WWE issued a statement on the matter stating, “Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”
