Jamin Pugh, better known to wrestling fans as Jay Briscoe, a mainstay of Ring Of Honor Wrestling since its debut, passed away today at the age of 38, with the news first revealed by All Elite Wrestling President and Ring Of Honor Wrestling owner Tony Khan.
Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today.
Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.

Jay, alongside his brother Mark, made their debuts in May 2000, and quickly began working Combat Zone Wrestling and Jersey All Pro Wrestling events. The duo appeared as part of Ring Of Honor Wrestling’s inaugural event in February 2002, with Jay competing in a match, seconded by Mark who was not permitted to wrestle due to State laws at the time and became mainstays in the promotion.
Throughout his career teaming with his brother Mark, The Briscoes were most notably thirteen-time ROH World Tag Team Champions, 2022 NWA Crockett Cup Winners, one-time 2CW Tag Team Champions, two-time CZW Tag Team Champions, one-time FIP Tag Team Champions, three-time GCW World Tag Team Champions, one-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions, one-time HOG Tag Team Champions, one-time IMPACT World Tag Team Champions, one-time IWGP Tag Team Champions, one-time NWA Wildside Tag Team Champions, one-time PWU Tag Team Champions, one-time RCW Tag Team Champions and one-time USA Pro Tag Team Champions. The duo were also inducted into the inaugural ROH Hall of Fame Class in 2022. Jay was also a one-time JAPW Tag Team Champion alongside The Insane Dragon, two-time NEVER Openweight 6 Man Tag Team Champion alongside Mark Briscoe and Toru Yano and one-time ROH World 6 Man Tag Team Champion alongside Mark Briscoe and Bully Ray.
In addition to his success in a tag team with his brother Mark, Jay also enjoyed success as a singles wrestler, winning the ROH World Championship on two occasions, while he was also a one-time PWF United States Heavyweight Champion.
