Kyle Fletcher made an appearance during tonight’s NJPW Resurgence event and noted that Mark Davis was injured and as a result, they can not defend the IWGP Tag Team Championships at NJPW Dominion on June 4th.
Fletcher announced that as a result of Davis’ injury, Aussie Open have relinquished the IWGP Tag Team Championships and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships, with new Champions for the titles to be crowned at Dominion.
The duo had held the IWGP Tag Team Championships for 43 days and the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships for 36 days.
