Ring of Honor star Davey Richards, the Future Shock Wrestling Champion, is said to have had issues with the company a couple of weeks ago, this according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that Richards wrestled for the promotion a few months ago and accidently knocked out Jack Gallagher, the previous Champion and pinned him, thus becoming the new Champion, albeit him not being booked to go over, to which the company understood, hoping Richards would come back and drop the title at a future event. Future Shock Wrestling’s owner Dave Pownall stated that Richards pulled out of the advertised appearance two days before the event on October 5th, stating that he wasn’t going to get on the plane for anything less than double the fee previously agreed, to which Pownall couldn’t afford, therefore asking Richards to send a video promo, stating that he couldn’t make it.

Richards was said to have shot the video, but sent it 20 minutes into the event, giving the company no time to look at the quality of the video, until it was played after the main event, which once played, had very poor audio and video quality and wasn’t what the promotion wanted him to say and instead he ripped on the promotion. Damien Smith, who works for the promotion was issued with the following from Richards on the same night, “I’ve told you and Dave now, that I am not coming over because we could not agree on the price. Like I said before, since I am champion, my price has to go up so my old fee needs to be at least doubled before I come over.

It will be interesting to see how the sides can come to an agreement, in order to allow Richards to return to the United Kingdom for the promotion, as well as for FSW to get their Championship back in their hands.
