In an update on WWE announcing the first 8 competitors for next month’s WWE United Kingdom Tournament events, several British wrestling promotions including Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) and DEFIANT Wrestling are no longer allowed to use any wrestler signed to a WWE UK deal, however promotions including PROGRESS Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling will be allowed, due to their ties to WWE, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The reason for this is that with the exception of the aforementioned PROGRESS Wrestling and Insane Championship Wrestling, that the talents are not permitted to work with promotions that have a decent distribution and/or streaming service and that WWE can back out of the contracts offered at the 4-8 month mark.

The report further notes that WWE have either signed or offered contracts to 20 new names including Toni Storm, Joe Coffey, Zack Gibson, Dave Mastiff, El Ligero, Travis Banks, Chris Brookes, Kenny Williams, Flash Morgan Webster, Eddie Dennis, Jinny and more, several of whom have been confirmed for the WWE United Kingdom Tournament and that 12 of the 20 names the company offered contracts to were originally scheduled to work for ITV as part of the World of Sport tapings.

The World Of Sport roster is scheduled to feature names including Will Ospreay, Davey Boy Smith Jr, Grado, Moose, Primate, Joe Hendry, Martin Kirby, Iestyn Rees, Kay Lee Ray, Bea Priestley, Viper, Sha Samuels, Doug Williams, Rampage Brown, Lionheart, Nathan Cruz, Robbie X, Kip Sabian, Adam Maxted, CJ Banks, Liam Slater and Gabriel Kidd among others.
