There has been talk interally that several top independent stars will be invited to one of the upcoming WWE developmental tryouts, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that Kevin Steen and Michael Elgin are said to be the main names that will be invited and that Steen has known about the upcoming WWE tryout camp for some time and that if any talent at the tryout camp show up out of shape that they might not even get the chance to try out and could be asked to head home immediately.

It is being said that WWE are strongly looking to add to the names they already have at WWE NXT/WWE Performance Center, making it the top place for upcoming talent and for those looking to break into the business such as NFL stars, college football stars, collegiate wrestlers and more.
