In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, New Japan Pro Wrestling President Hiroshi Tanahashi discussed several topics, including Kazuchika Okada making the decision to depart New Japan Pro Wrestling when his contract expires on January 31st.
“I can only thank him for his continued contribution to New Japan over the past 12 years. Personally, I would have liked to have seen one more match with the new generation, Shota, Narita, Tsuji, Uemura, however if you look at it from Okada’s point of view, I can understand if he felt that he did everything he could in New Japan. I want him to spread his wings wide around the world.”
