– WWE superstar John Cena has been announced as the special guest at the opening day of Wizard World Comic Con in Chicago on August 9th, where he will be appearing from 4-8pm for photo ops and autographs, with a VIP package also being offered. Cena is quoted in a press release at this link stating, “I am looking forward to meeting the enthusiastic fans at my first Wizard World event. I have heard a lot about the charged-up atmosphere, and I can’t wait to experience it for myself.”

– Chris Jericho’s band Fozzy will be releasing their next album on August 14th, according to Jericho himself. The album titled “Sin and Bones” will be released through Century Media and is great on the timing side of things, as Fozzy will be making appearances on the Rockstar Uproar Festival over the summer, as well as it being just a few days prior to the WWE Summerslam pay-per-view. – WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels announced on his Twitter account that he is scheduled for a free autograph appearance on June 23rd in Gurnee, Illinois, where he is appearing on behalf of the Outdoor Channel to promote the upcoming season of Shawn Michaels’ MacMillan River Adventure series.

– The Bella Twins noted on their Twitter account today that they will be appearing on MTV’s Ridiculousness in August and possibly somewhere else also, hinting at a potential WWE return or a move to TNA Wrestling when their contracts expire.

– Today is the 20th anniversary of Joey Styles’ first time calling a wrestling show.
