In a recent episode of her Eyes Up Here: The Queen’s Extreme Podcast, ECW legend Francine discussed several topics, including her recent WWE NXT appearance at the 2300 Arena (former ECW Arena) in Philadelphia, noting that she was offered several roles on the show, but had to turn them down due to health reasons, which resulted her making an appearance in the crowd.

Francine revealed that she was first offered a guest referee role in the Jaida Parker vs. Lola Vice match, which eventually was offered to Dawn Marie, and turned it down as she felt that she wouldn’t be quick enough to keep up in a refereeing aspect due to her having had multiple abdominal surgeries in recent times.

“Because my core is so weak, just lifting myself up getting into the ring is slow, so I was just like, well I guess I’m not going to be able to do it.”

Francine revealed that she was then offered a spot on the show as a backstage interviewer, but she lost her voice at a ComicCon appearance and had to inform the WWE that she wouldn’t be able to step-in for that role.

“I went to Rhode Island ComicCon for four days, and I talked and I talked and I talked, and I lost my voice, so on Tuesday, they sent me a script to be a backstage interviewer and I go ugh, I can’t do this either, my voice is shot.”

Francine said that she offered to be pulled from appearing on the show since she was limited in what she could do, however the WWE decided to continue with having her appear as part of the show and be shown in the crowd.

“Would I have liked to have done more, of course I would have loved to have had an entrance and walked to the ring and did something, it just wasn’t in the cards for me, but just being included was enough, like I didn’t need any more than that. It was fun, I got to meet so many great people, the girls were so nice, some of them had on ECW attire, which I thought was adorable.”
