Former World Wrestling Federation & Smoky Mountain wrestling star Jimmy Del Rey (real name David Ferrier), who wrestled as part of the Heavenly Bodies tag team for Smoky Mountain Wrestling from 1993 – 1995 died in an auto accident on Saturday night in Tampa, Florida.

Ferrier was driving near the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida at around 6:10p.m. when the car he was driving went onto a grass shoulder and into a lampost. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital, but pased away later that evening from his injuries. He was 52 years old.
