Speaking through his official Twitter account, former Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin noted that he will be in attendance at the Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat Q&A at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on July 23rd to confront Ric Flair regarding money Flair owes to him when he worked with the promotion several years ago.

For those wondering, Ring of Honor, which at the time was owned by Silkin, filed a lawsuit against Ric Flair in January 2010 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania alleging that Flair owed the company over $40,000, with the lawsuit stemming from Flair failing to live up to his contracted obligations as the “ROH Ambassador” on ROH on HDNet tapings and alleged that Flair was originally signed to make 5 appearances at ROH house shows for $10,000 per appearance, however Flair failed to appear at a scheduled ROH event in Montreal in July 2009 and then failed to return his $10,000 advance payment for the event. The lawsuit also alleged that Flair only attended one Ring of Honor on HDNet television taping after coming to terms with the group to appear in an authority figure role and that Flair appeared at one taping at at the start of the next set, made a brief announcement to the live crowd that he was resigning the commission due to his relationship with WWE and that Flair was paid $35,000 for the TV appearances and only made one appearance.
When Sinclair Broadcast Group purchased the company from Silkin back in May 2011, the lawsuit was officially dropped as Silkin’s version of Ring of Honor was dissolved and replaced by the Sinclair version which acquired the assets, but did not take the lawsuit on themselves, while Silkin himself has remained vocal over the years about Flair still owing him the money.
