Former German National Goalkeeper Tim Wiese, who has noted in the past that he previously received an offer from the WWE, worked for the company at their live event in Frankfurt, Germany today as an official timekeeper for the match between Goldust & Stardust vs. The Uso’s and post match had a staredown with both Goldust & Stardust.
Wiese’s appearance today drew a lot of attention from the German media, as he spoke to a number of outlets prior to the show.
Wiese was the number one goalkeeper for Werder Bremen from 2005 to 2012, however after leaving Werder Bremen and joining Hoffenheim, he had his contract terminated mutually on January 21st, 2014 after he put on an incredible amount of muscle, prompting reports that Wiese, who at that stage claimed that he was heavily working on bodybuilding, was going to switch trades and attempt his hand at becoming a professional wrestler, much like former Burton Albion goalkeper Stuart Tomlinson, now working for the company’s developmental system as Hugo Knox.
