The family of the late Nancy Benoit resumed their court case against Hustler Magazine on Wednesday in Atlanta, Georgia arguing that Hustler should pay $20 million in damages following the publication of nude photos of Nancy following her death in the tragic Benoit family double murder-suicide back in June of 2007.
Back in June of 2011, a jury awarded Nancy’s estate $19.6 million, however a federal judge reduced the charge down to $250,000 which forced the family to appeal. The family appealed once again on Wednesday to a three-judge panel in the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to reinstate the original verdict from the jury, however the judges did not make a decision on their verdict and instead delayed the ruling.
