Following on from the news earlier this morning that World Wrestling Entertainment had suspended WWE Monday Night RAW superstar Evan Bourne (Matthew Korklan) for 60 days for his second violation of the company’s wellness policy testing, Wrestling-News.Net have learned that the suspension comes down to Bourne once again testing positive for the usage of synthetic marijuana, something the company have been clamping down heavy on in recent months, following the suspensions of Bourne, Heath Slater, Darren Young and R-Truth all for the same reasons.

Bourne tested positive for the usage of “spice”, a synthetic marijuana substance, after tests came back on Friday evening and the decision was made at the WWE Monday Night RAW live event in Oakland, California to take the WWE Tag Team Championships off himself and Kofi Kingston and put them on up and coming tag team duo Epico and Primo, due to the fact that Evan Bourne would be inactive until March 17th, after being suspended for 60 days. Previously, marijuana smokers were issued with a $2,500 fine from the company, however in a change to the policy, anyone smoking synthetic marijuana will immediately be issued with a 30 day suspension, as the company try and cut out the use.

There is a few people within the company requesting that the WWE offer Bourne a brief stint in a rehabilitation facility following the announcement of his second suspension in as many months. The words from former WWE commentator Todd Grisham, now working for ESPN that one suspension could be chalked up to a bad decision, however two and there is a real problem has got many talking. Bourne was said to have been seen as somewhat of an outcast in the locker room in recent months, after it was alleged that he told WWE officials just days prior to the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view where R-Truth and The Miz were scheduled to face John Cena and The Rock, that R-Truth had also smoked synthetic marijuana at a party both individuals attended.

As of writing, Bourne’s status with the company is not in jeopardy, however it is believed that even when he completes his 60 days suspension on March 17th, that he will be kept off television longer than that.
