In an interview with The Scottish Sun, former IMPACT Wrestling superstar Drew Galloway discussed his decision to not sign a new contract with the company and ultimately depart.
Galloway noted that the company tried to lock him in too close to the previous contract ending, stating that IMPACT Wrestling came to him last week with an offer and that it was a very good one, one of the best in the company and a position that would have put him as a top guy going forward, but that the reality of it all was that because the company waited until the last second, he turned it down.
Drew said that everything was so last minute and that he had to think about back-up plans and his family because it went down to the wire and that he was surprised that he got no heads-up beforehand and that when they got in touch with him last week, they would not accept no for an answer and the financial offer was great, so it was a very hard decision for him to make and that if all of what happened took place 3 weeks ago, then he more than likely would have signed a new deal.
