TNA Knockouts Champion is featured in a recent interview with Schema Magazine where she discusses a number of topics including getting into the business, being a Korean-Canadian female release, her WWE release and more.
On getting into the business, Gail noted that she knew when she was 23, she knew when she was so hooked on watching wrestling and seeing the likes of Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Victoria, Jazz and more in what they now call the golden era of women’s wrestling that she thought she could do the same and give it a try as the had no Asian woman in the business and she could be that person.
On her second WWE return and release and why she thought that she wasn’t being featured enough in the WWE, leading to her eliminating herself in a Divas’ Battle Royal match, Gail responded stating that she’s talked about it many times up to this point, which she doesn’t mind, however she believes her fans and herself have moved on from the topic and to clarify, that was not the reason why, there were many reasons why including some disrespectful situations, as well as how the women were treated in the company, which is why she decided to move on. Gail noted that she did and returned to TNA Wrestling and she’s happier than ever. Gail stated that she can only look forward and try to do positive things from now on and it’s just been a confidence building, pro female wrestling environment and she feels like she doesn’t have to limit herself anymore.
