Dennis Haskins, better known to fans around the world as Mr. Belding from his days on Saved By The Bell, is featured in an interview with Scott Fishman of The Miami Herald, where he discusses appearing on Zack Ryder’s hit YouTube series Z! True Long Island Story, as well as how another WWE superstar was influental in helping Zack get in contact with him.

Dennis noted that the friendship all came about thanks to The Miz, as he knows The Miz from back when he was on reality television, such as MTV’s The Real World and said that The Miz always wanted to be a wrestler, that it was his dream and he made it happen by becoming the WWE Champion and the exact same thing is happening to Zack Ryder. Haskins, who is a huge wrestling fan himself stated that Zack is a good wrestler, has skills and found a way to create interest through his hit YouTube show. Dennis noted that Zack contacted him via The Miz and he appeared on Episode 43 of Z! True Long Island Story, noting that Zack gets over 150,000 views a week which is amazing, so they decided to do another episode the week after.

Dennis then said that he purchased the Broski hat to surprise Zack when he would see the video and that it’s great to bring joy into people’s lives, which is what Zack Ryder is doing, as he’s the underdog and he’s bringing joy to people’s lives as they can identify with him and he’s blessed to be a small part of it on the edges and support Zack, noting that Ryder’s story is an inspiration to other wrestlers. Haskins then mentioned that Ryder is a huge fan of his, because of the fact that Zack grew up watching Saved By The Bell, which he’s thrilled about and what made their connection work, before noting that Zack is really creative and industrious and now people are pushing thr WWE to do something with him based off his appearance on the show.
