Jim Cornette is officially on sabbatical from his duties with Ring of Honor. Cornette was said to have blown up at the ROH TV tapings a few weeks ago in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania (just outside Pittsburgh) and as of writing, is not expected to appear in any fashion at the ROH Final Battle 2012 pay-per-view on December 16th.

As of now, there is no timetable for ROH’s return to the company as the Executive Producer of the company’s television series. There was a belief that Cornette was done with the company, however that is not the case.

Cornette was said to have been frustrated with the company in recent months and things boiled over at the tapings when Steve Corino got injured, with Cornette being heard ranting about Corino having to go to the hospital and that no one from Ring of Honor’s ownership were around to take Corino to the hospital, let alone to pay for his costs. Cornette told a few people to repeat the words he had spoken (believed to be very expletive) to ROH management, which did get back and resulted in Cornette speaking with ROH officials a few days later and both sides agreeing to a mutual decision that Cornette needed to take a break from his duties.

Hunter Johnson, who works as the Delirious character, will remain the booker of the ROH on Sinclair show and will be replacing Jim Cornette until he decides to return assisting in the production of weekly television.
