In an interview with the Montreal Gazette to help promote his appearance on this Monday’s WWE RAW, which is being advertised locally as “Pat Patterson Appreciation Night”, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart commented on how the WWE approached him and how it is the first time he will be appearing in Montreal since the 1997 WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view, the scene of the infamous “Montreal Screwjob”.

“Over the years… in the last couple of years anyways, since we sort of got back on good terms again, I always thought, I wonder what will happen when they’re in Montreal…they’ll have to think that maybe it would be a good idea to bring me into that, I didn’t expect it in some ways and wondered if it would ever happen, and here it is.”
