It is with deep sadness to report that comedian and former WWE creative team member for a brief period of time, Patrice O’Neal passed away yesterday aged just 41, following complications of a stroke he had suffered last month.
O’Neal who was a regular member on the Opie and Anthony radio show, as well as the Comedy Central roasts, most notably the Comedy Central roast of Charlie Sheen, used to joke about his brief stint with the WWE, noting that he chose to do standup comedy on the night WWE wanted to use him, which prompted Stephanie McMahon to phone him and fire him and then phone him and try to re-hire him shortly after. O’Neal’s good friend and fellow comedian, Jim Norton, broke the news of O’Neal’s passing to the public on yesterday’s edition of the Opie and Anthony radio show.
On behalf of us all here on the website, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Patrice O’Neal.
