All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President and talent Cody Rhodes was given an initial refusal by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on his filing for trademarks on Bash at the Beach and Dusty Rhodes.

In the case of his filing for Bash at the Beach, the USPTO noted that it was given an initial refusal because of the likelihood of confusion with WWE’s registered “The Bash” trademark, while in the case of his filing for the Dusty Rhodes trademarks, the USPTO noted that it was given a initial refusal because of the likelihood of confusion to the Dustin Rhodes trademark registered to Cody’s brother, Dustin Runnels.
