In a post on his official Twitter account this evening, ROH World Champion Cody Rhodes offered his thoughts on WWE reviving the Starrcade name after almost 17 years and noted that there was no Rhodes’ on the show, giving that it was his father, Dusty Rhodes’ idea for the name of the event.
The tweet, which tagged WWE’s Michael Hayes, had a request from Cody to book Goldust for the event, which led to an interesting response from Hayes himself asking what Cody was doing on the night of the event.
Dear @MichaelPSHayes1
If you're afraid an event won't sell cuz' the holiday and want one of my Dad's events…at least book Goldy..
