In an update on the passing of Joanie Laurer (aka Chyna), her manager Anthony Anzaldo noted in speaking to The New York Daily News that the former WWE Women’s Champion and WWE Intercontinental Champion passed away from an accidental overdose after she mixed Ambien and Valium stating, “she was inappropriately taking her legally prescribed medication over the course of two to three weeks, on Sunday night, her body had enough.”

A toxicology report is not expected for a few months, however Anzaldo noted that he did not believe she had committed suicide and that her death was a result of Chyna escalating the usage of her prescribed medication.
