– Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Christian is expected to return to in-ring action following this Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Christian has been medically cleared for a few months, however his TV return was delayed due to creative not having anything in place prior to WrestleMania for him.
– Meanwhile, former WWE Tag Team Champion Evan Bourne has been deemed by WWE officials as not quite ready for an in-ring return currently, despite working a recent WWE NXT live event. There is talk of having Bourne & Sin Cara team up when he is scheduled to return.
– There has been talk of having Big E Langston feud with Mark Henry as WWE nears closer to WWE Summerslam with the two potentially facing off in a test of strength or a Strongman battle.
– The winner of the number one contender’s match between Alberto del Rio and Jack Swagger at this Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view is scheduled to face Dolph Ziggler for the title on an upcoming edition of WWE RAW and not at the WWE Payback event in June.
– WWE NXT developmental talent Judas Devlin has been working alongside Conor O’Brian at recent WWE NXT live events, which may indicate that he is part of the second coming of “The Ascension” tag team. O’Brian and Devlin are using the same finishing move that O’Brian and former WWE NXT talent Kenneth Cameron used in the past prior to Cameron’s release from the WWE. It will be interesting to see if the two become a tag team on WWE NXT as O’Brian is currently on the hunt for the WWE NXT Championship.
