A report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that independent wrestling superstar Colt Cabana, who previously worked for the WWE under the name of Scotty Goldman recently had a couple of tryouts for the company as a commentator, under the recommendation of his good friend CM Punk to company officials.

As of writing, no offer has been extended Cabana’s way, however he remains on the company’s radar.
