Former WWE superstar and current UFC Heavyweight star, Brock Lesnar has pleaded guily on hunting charges, after it was revealed that he improperly tagged an animal while hunting in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Lesnar was fined $1,725 and was given a six month hunting suspension, however charges against Lesnar leaving meat to rot and illegal possession of wildlife were dropped.

Lesnar issued a statement stating that in November 2010, he went on a filmed hunt in Alberta, Canada sponsored by Fusion Ammunition and guided by Trophy Hunters Alberta and noted that in Alberta, Canada Americans can’t hunt without a licensed outfitter and that the outfitter is there to make sure that you follow the rules and that he had two deer tags for the trip, which meant that he could legally shoot two deer and that on the first day of the trip, he shot a mule deer and on the second day, he shot a white tail deer, noting that videos from the hunt have been on the internet for over a year.

Lesnar noted that after he shot the mule deer, he failed to immediately tag it and as far as he was involved, that’s all there is to it and now it’s resolved as he’s paid his fine, however noted that it’s the kind of thing that happens to hunters all the time and that he wanted to thank the Canadian authorities for their cooperation in all that happened including resolving his misunderstanding, before noting that he loves Canada and can’t wait to return to Alberta when his suspension expires to hunt again.
