First Official QPW SuperSlam 2 Match Signed: nZo To Battle Brian Pillman Jr.!
We’ve already made public several releases confirming worldwide-renowned stars set to be a part of the huge QPW SuperSlam 2 supercard on Friday, February 21, 2020, with many more names still to come. In this installment, we are set to confirm our first official match on what will be an all-star night of action!
The man now known as nZo is no stranger to controversy, outspokenness, and attention. The former Enzo Amore made a career out of running his mouth and having to back it up. With tag team partner Big Cass, the duo became cult sensations in NXT, being voted Tag Team of the Year in 2015. The wave of momentum and groundswell of fan support led to their eventually move to WWE Raw, where their popularity grew to worldwide fame. With his trademark rant proclaiming himself a “certified G and bonafide stud and you can’t teach that”, it was clear nZo had a gift for gab and a personality that was larger than life. After pursuing a singles career, nZo became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and eventually transcended into a hip-hop career but never lost his vocal touch or his ties to pro wrestling.
Meanwhile, Brian Pillman Jr.’s ties to pro wrestling, and his own experiences with controversy and outspokenness are well-documented. The son of the late, great “Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman, who revolutionized the industry with his aerial style in the early-1990s, then again with his wild, unpredictable and crazed interviews and actions in the mid-1990s, Brian Jr. knows he has massive shoes to fill, and “The Promised Prince” doing everything he can to live up to a legendary name, already taking his journey to international lands and major television broadcasts such as Major League Wrestling (MLW). Now Brian embarks on his biggest journey yet, literally and figuratively, to carry on the legacy of a family name already so revered and respected.
This isn’t the first time nZo and Brian Pillman Jr. have met, but it will be the largest stage they do battle, and live across the world at that. Will nZo live up to his pre-match rap or can Pillman Jr. show his opponent what made his namesake such a dangerous and unpredictable rival?
