Speaking through his official Facebook page, former AWA wrestler Boris Zhukov commented on the passing of former AWA announcer Larry Nelson.

“I am so sad to hear today about the death of Larry Nelson. Just a great guy and fantastic tv wrestling announcer in the AWA! He just did a outstanding job and I am so glad and honored I got to work with him. I heard he lost his battle with cancer. My condolences to all of his family!! Thanks so very much for the great memories Larry!! RIP.”
