Former 6-time World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T, is featured in a new interview with Matt Vensel of The Baltimore Sun, where he discusses tonight’s WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view, his role as a commentator on WWE SmackDown and much more.
Regarding his match against Cody Rhodes at tonight’s WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view where he will face off against Cody Rhodes for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Booker noted that he is worried about ring rust and he’s really not that excited like many would expect being in the ring, noting that he’s going out and defending his manhood and that’s a little more important than him being back in the ring, however he is actually content with the commentary role, but the issue with Cody Rhodes has escelated and the WWE fanbase want to see him get out there and perform.
On his role as a commentator for the WWE on SmackDown, Booker noted that it was really tough and he didn’t think that he was going to make it, however he had a lot of help from the WWE staff and that those guys have really groomed him and helped him, but he has a lot of work left to do and it’s a lot of fun and he’s loving it. Booker noted that he has wanted to try his hand at commentary for many years and it was a joke that back in the day that he always did commentary in the back when the guys were in the ring before him. Booker noted that he used to be in the back doing it on the little monitor for the guys in the back and these days, he gets to sit out in front of a huge crowd week on week doing it.
