In an interview with The Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, WWE SmackDown Live superstar Bobby Roode discussed being part of the WWE roster, his time in IMPACT Wrestling, if he has any regrets from his pre-WWE career and more.
Highlights of the interview are below:
On his IMPACT Wrestling career and if he has any regrets: “I have zero regrets in my career, I really have zero regrets. I was treated very well. I just came to a point in my career where I was at a company for over 12 years, I felt I did everything that I could possibly do there. I was doing well, I was supporting my family, I had zero complaints but it came to a point where it was like, I’m going to go to work for 6 days and then I’m going to sit home for 2 months. That’s not what I got in the business for, I got into the business to be on the road. I was starting to lose a passion for the business I’ve always loved, it got to the point in my career at the other company where I was like, I don’t love it anymore. Fortunately for me, I got an opportunity and it’s been great”
On being part of the WWE roster: “For me, the WWE was always the ultimate. In sports entertainment this is the place to be if you want to make a name for yourself, you have to get to this company and be put on this stage. It’s everything I thought it would be, to be honest with you. Being around not only the guys in the locker room, but the guys behind the scenes, the office, the production people, everything is so top notch and outweighs everything I’d ever experienced in my career before I got here.”
