WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Bobby Fish underwent ACL surgery yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama and is expected to be out of in-ring action for anything between 4-6 months.

Fish suffered the injury at a recent NXT live event and obviously will miss the upcoming WWE NXT Takeover: New Orleans special during WrestleMania weekend.

It was initially believed that The Undisputed Era would be stripped of the NXT Tag Team Titles due to Fish’s injury, however nothing of the sort was mentioned during Wednesday’s NXT tapings leading up to Takeover: New Orleans. It is possible that Adam Cole does double duty on the night, as he will also be involved in the Ladder Match alongside Lars Sullivan, Killian Dain, Velveteen Dream, EC3 and Ricochet to crown the first-ever NXT North American Champion.
