In a video released on The Smashing Pumpkins’ Facebook page, new TNA Wrestling President Billy Corgan discussing his new duties within the company, what it means for his musical career going forward with the Smashing Pumpkins’ and more.

Corgan said that being the TNA President was an honor and that he intends to be as successful in professional wrestling as he has been in music and said that he’s very passionate about the job and shot down claims that it will hurt his musical career. Corgan said that there are some real challenges that TNA Wrestling has had internally and said that he stepped into the breach on the ownership side and now in the management end and plans on evolving IMPACT forward and said that he wants to create the most groundbreaking promotion of the 21st century.

Corgan said that there is nothing bad going on and he’s not a “rah rah” guy, but everything is good and said that they were on top of a roof filming some crazy stuff with drones yesterday. Corgan said that there are employees and talent in TNA Wrestling and he now has a responsibility to them and their families to do his best for them and said that if he failed because he failed, well that’s life, but he doesn’t see anything wrong with that and said that they are an entertainment brand and what TNA Wrestling does is no different from movies or live theater and made it clear that anyone who felt that the new position was going to impede his musical plans and career are wrong.
