Former WCW & TNA Wrestling superstar Sting is expected to meet with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon prior to next month’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The report notes that Sting is not signed to a WWE deal, however there is a belief on both sides that a deal will be signed and that Sting may have more leverage in his negotiations, due to the buzz surrounding his inclusion in the WWE 2K15 videogame and his appearance at the San Diego Comic Con, however if the deal is signed, he’s not expected to appear at WWE SummerSlam until WWE make the call on his debut.

The internal belief is that if the negotiations call for him to wrestle, Sting would pass WWE’s strict testing allowing him to have a final run in the WWE before calling it a day on his career.
