WWE will be making big changes to their broadcast teams for WWE RAW, WWE SmackDown and WWE NXT starting with tomorrow night’s Season Premiere episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX, according to news first reported by Variety.
The report notes that WWE SmackDown will feature the commentary team of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, while Kayla Braxton and Megan Morant will serve as the backstage interviewers and Samantha Irvin will serve as the SmackDown ring announcer.
The WWE RAW brand will feature the commentary team of Corey Graves and Kevin Patrick, with Byron Saxton and a returning Cathy Kelley serving as the backstage interviewers, while Mike Rome will serve as the RAW ring announcer. Jimmy Smith, who had been the lead play-by-play commentator has departed the company.
Additionally, the WWE NXT brand will feature the commentary team of Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, while McKenzie Mitchell will continue her backstage interviewer role. Alicia Taylor will continue in her role as the WWE NXT ring announcer.
WWE’s Premium Live Events will be called by Michael Cole and Corey Graves.
